The light heavyweight bout that ended in disappointment this past weekend on the UFC on FOX 4 card in Los Angeles, California between Phil Davis and Wager Prado might end up going down on the UFC on FX 5 card which is set for October 5th in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
UFC President, Dana White revealed that he had already discusses with matchmaker, Joe Silva about rescheduling the bout immediately after the no-contest result was read out on Saturday night. UFC on FX 5 was mentioned as a possible card to host the fight.
Davis went nine straight fights undefeated to kick off his mixed martial arts career which included a first round submission win over Alexander Gustafsson. He lost his first bout last time out when he went down to Rashad Evans via unanimous decision.
Prado trains out of Team Nogueira and is undefeated as a professional fighter at 7-0. Six of those seven wins have come via knockout or TKO with five ending in the very first round. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
