Bellator vet Wilson Reis to take on Owen Roddy at Cage Warriors 50
By RICHARD MANN Cage Warriors has added a bantamweight fight between Bellator veteran Wilson Reis and Owen Roddy to their next event. The card, Cage Warriors 50, takes place Dec. 8 at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow, Scotland. Reis has won three-straight fights since falling out of Bellator Fighting Championships. In his last fight, he defeated Billy Vaughan via arm-triangle choke submission at Matrix Fights 7. Reis went 5-4 in Bellator between 2009-2011. During his tenure, he picked up victories over IFL veteran Shad Lierley, WEC veteran Deividas Taurosevicius and Zac George. His only losses in the promotion came against champions or tournament winners. In 2008, Reis defeated Abel Cullum for the vacant Elite XC bantamweight title. The promotion folded before the Brazilian could defend the belt. Roddy currently holds an 11-3 record as a professional. He is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak that dates back to 2008. In his last fight, he picked up a decision victory over UFC veteran Shannon Gugerty. The event will air on tape delay on Sky Sports 3. In the United States, the card will stream live online.
